Hey has anyone experienced a pain in the mid left side recently after eating. My wife is one week out and had her first soft food( egg beater omlette) and experienced a pain in her left side. It is starting to go away but it was nagging for a while. any input is appreciated.

yep. its the food travelling. I would say i THINK it is. I felt that way EVERYTIME i ate when i moved to puree. i had it to the point where i would have to lay down until it passed. if its horrible and she cant take it would say call the surgeon.

Sorry but I didnt experience that. I would sometimes get a pain or lump in my throat but not in my left side. Sorry I cant help. Tell her to hang in there and maybe try eating a bit slower. I know with me the eggs just didnt do well in the begining. Once I waited a while and re-interouduced them it got better. Good luck.

Yup When I Moved To Puree Foods For The First Time. I Think My Pouch Was Like What The Heck Is This? The Next Time I Ate Slower. Also Make Sure She Chews Well!!!!!

I GUESS THRU THIS JOURNEY AS WE GRADGUATE TO DIFF FOODS OUR POUCH WILL FEEL DIFF THINGS

yep been there actualy right now. I think it just from the surgery i told my surgen about it today and they sead it was normal healing

but if your worried call the doctor by all means

sounds like she didnt chew something well enough....
but hard to be sure...she is so new out she should
run all odd pains by the surgeon!
as soft as the food was egg might have let a
big piece go down i would have stuck with a very
scrambled soft egg that early out

The probability is, it's just part of the healing, but anything that's nagging should be run by the surgeon.

i felt the same thing when i was first out, i was thinking, "wow, they moved my stomach over to the left...LOL" But it went away, just insides healing
