Okay, I have to ask this question -- I believe I read on one of the posts one of you talking about how your pouch "hurt". I know there'll be pain with the incisions and the gas that they blow up the cavaity with, but I honestly hadn't thought about my internal organs "hurting". Can someone explain or shed a little light on that one. I've had my gall bladder removed and my tubes tied --- but I don't think I felt any pain "inside". I guess I'm being a bit paranoid -- but I'd still like to know.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I think the gas pain was the worst for me. I had my gallbladder out a few months after my gastric and it was much more painful for me. I know now if I eat to much my "pouch" hurts and I can get cramps. Just beware of your body and know that there will be pain associated with the surgery but everyone is different

I will be 8 weeks out soon and I just got through my first bout of pouch pain. It is hard to explain. On a scale of 1 - 10, I rate the pain at 2; not bad. It was just so annoying that I could feel every drink and every bite of food. I finally went back to liquids and let my little irritated pouch heal and that has made all the difference. Do not worry about the pain. I have had gallbladder and RNY and the pouch pain doesn't come close to either one and I didn't think either one was that bad.

I wouldnt call it pain, at least not in my experience. I've had like a background hum kinda thing, a nagging, or irritating thing going on. i was never really in "pain". not even the few days following my hospital release.

there is definitely an awkwardness the first time you realize food is hitting it and it is full. didnt hurt, just wierd. i dont know how to describe it. you'll know when it happends though. when its too full, when you eat something the pouchy doesnt like, when you eat something it does like, you will get to know your pouch.

I use my c-section as a measure of pain. this was NOTHING like that. which i was grateful for
