Default Help needed...

I am kind of new to the forum, haven't posted much and been away for a long time. But am haveing a difficult period and need some help.

My surgery was Feb 2005, no problems, I lost 124 pounds and kept it off until about six months ago. I am hungry all the time and snack way too much. I wake up during the night feeling like my stomach is eating itself. I drink about 2 oz skim milk and the pain goes away. This goes on all night about every two hours. Needless to say I am not getting enough sleep...

The biggest problem is now I have gained 21 pounds back and don't know what to do to make it stop. Is anyone else having this problem??? The weight gain is heartbreaking to me, I worked so hard to loose the weight and don't want to regain any of it.

Anyone have any suggestions or helpful hints??? I am open for a new way of eating...anything to help me regain control of my life again.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

darn that sounds hard! I am almost a year out and weight loss has stopped. How much are you eating? Have you contacted your doctor?

Exclamation You may have an ulcer in your pouch

Silverbee, your symptoms sound like ulcer symptoms.
The gnawing hunger, and and feeling as if your stomach is eating itself in the middle of the night. Also, the fact that drinking milk eases the pain. That's because milk covers the surface of your pouch, and also covers the ulcer, so the acid that hurts the raw area can't come into contact, and also, milk neutralized stomach acid. They are all very typical symptoms of ulcer.
Your hunger can be from you unconsciously trying to avoid the pain that comes with ulcer.

CONTACT YOUR SURGEON ASAP, and have your pouch scoped.
If there is an ulcer, and it's treated and healed, you'll probably find that your irregular eating pattern will subside.

((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

Pretty much it.
If your ulcer is bleeding, that will make your stool very dark chocolate brown to black.
Also, you may feel very nauseous and don't want to eat, but it also may be a slight queeziness that goes away with eating, so you end up eating.
As a matter of fact, Silverbee has all most all the symptoms that point to ulcer and her hunger sounds exactly like Lisa's when she had her ulcer.

You know, I think I might have one of these now that I read the systems. In the last month I am hungry almost all the time but sometimes I feel a little crampy too. I take my tums but I'm going to take some Zantac too and see if that helps. If so, I will need to see my doc too.
