Default Fighting the pounds

I have been fighting the pounds here lately so hard! I have been having problems gaing weight sometimes as much as two lbs a day. I then will end up losing about 10 to 20 lbs by months end.My Dr says I'm doing fine.I just wonder if it's normal to gain weight while only three months out.I will admit I have become a scale addict lately I probably weigh in about twice to three times a day, But thats only because I actually have gained weight and it's freaking me out? Is this normal?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

no clue if its normal but my weight will flucuate and then all of a sudden i dump a bunch of lbs. in the beginning, it was discouraging because i felt as thought i was still yo-yoing and i was unsure if this was going to atally work. now its not so bad. i havent really changed anything. i guess i just settled into it? i dont know how many others experience this but im curiois to see who all responds.

I yo-yo all the time. It's within 5 pounds. I'm wondering if your sodium intake is a little high on the days you go up? That can definitely make you retain water weight. Could your body be responding to exercise or lack of on a particular day? I'm sure there's a ton of things that could cause this, but the main thing is that you are not continually gaining, so maybe you are just forming more muscle? I wouldn't really worry about it, it seems you are doing a great job. Congratulations on your loss thus far.

You basically lose weight in bump and humps. Not a smooth slope, a fell swoop.
That said, maybe the timing of your gain coincides with your TOM? Then that's water retetion due to PMS.
If the total is a loss, then you shouldn't worry about the few gained.

Default Thanks For Your'e Responses

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR RESPONSES. I HAVE TO ADD THAT I AM A MAN SO NO TOM FOR ME.MY DOC SAYS THAT HE ONLY EXPECTS ME TO LOSE 30LBS OVER THE NEXT THREE MONTHS,I WAS MORE THAN A LITTLE DISSAPPOINTED TO HEAR THIS AS I THOUGHT THAT WITHIN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS I SHOULD AVERAGE AROUND 15-20LBS A MONTH. I KNOW I SHOULD NOT OBSESS OVER WEIGHT LOSS OR BE HITTING THE SCALES TWICE A DAY. I JUST WANT TO MAKE GOAL WHILE I CAN BECAUSE IT SEEMS MY BODY FIGHTS TO MAINTAIN WEIGHT EVEN THOUGH I AM BARELY GETTING IN 500K A DAY. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I AM SUPER ANAL ABOUT WHAT I EAT AND ITS EASIER FOR ME TO CONTROL WHAT I EAT BECAUSE MOST DAYS AND TIMES I AM NOT REALLY HUNGRY. DONT MEAN TO BE LONG WINDED BUT IT JUST BAFFLES ME THAT I CAN DRINK SOME SUGAR FREE DRINK AND EAT A PIECE OF WATERMELON AND CHECK THE SCALE AFTERWARDS AND GAIN 2-3LBS I HAVE SEEN MYSELF GAIN AS MUCH AS 7LBS IN ONE WEEK THEN DROP 10-12 THE NEXT WEEK AND END UP HAVING LOST ABOUT TWENTY FOR THE MONTH.

It sounds to me that your body has gone into the starvation mode, and is trying to hang on to every single calorie you get in. It may surprise you, but actually upping your intake and increasing your exercise will move the weight loss smoother. At 500kcal, I can't see how you get in the basic nutrients your body needs, that it needs to get from the outside, because 60g protein amounts to 240kcal which is half of your daily intake already.
Since men are more muscular than women, 60g protein may not be enough, you may need up to 75g.
At 200lb, you actully need 3000kcal to maintain where you are, and though with WLS patients, the gap is larger and a little bit different from the standard medical nutrition recommendation, the standard recommended calories for losing weight it 500-1000 less than your daily need, and with men, no less than 1400-1600kcal.
So, try changing your routine, instead of stressing where you are.
Also, basically, you lose half of what you are expected to lose in the first 6 months, a quarter in the next 6 months, and the last quarter in the next 6-12 months.
Your body is NOT going to listen to your brain, it is going to listen to the body's needs first, so you'll have to relax, sit back and let things go with the flow for the time being.

Good luck.
