Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well my experience on the citrate pre op drink....
was i woke 2 am and didnt stop going....
and kept going right up till i left for the hospitol.I
was afraid i was gonna go on the OR table but
to my knowledge i stopped the time i went while
in holding.

BEING this is so unpredictable how many times you
will need to go and when it will stop it might be wise
for you to arrive the day before and have a room ....
a road trip could be difficult for you with that running
thru your system. YET u may go once or twice and be
done everyone plumbing cleanses out a bit differently.

GOOD LUCK and may your surgery go text book perfect.

The magnisum should start comming through your body pretty fast acutally. I have had it with other surgerys I have had. I live one hour away from a hosptial. Personally being that time of the morning when your venturing out and no places open I would stay at a hotel close by.

Are they having you drink one bottle or two?

Over Ice LOL well if that helps kill the taste go for it. I do put mine in the fridge to get it really cold and stand over the sink in the kitchen and drink and drink the most I can before even putting the bottle down. You will know why when you drink it. The way i would describe the taste is.... really sour with bubbles like soda and is plain nasty. That is why I do what I can the first turn up. The rest i wait a bit before getting some more. The reason I stand in front of the sink is to get a glass of water to go down with it afterwards ! LOL. You can get it down but it isnt pleasent by no means.

If you ever have a colonoscopy done honey ughhhhh. I had to do a bottle of that then 6 dulcolax then a hour later another bottle with 6 more. Ughhhhhhhhhhhh! LOL .

So yeah if you can get a hotel room close so you can sleep later than normal and just go over when its time for it. They will let you go to the potty right before you have to go to prep. And hey dont worry about this part so much. Its tolerable but not great tasting by no means.

going to a hotel close to hospital is great..I've known a lot of people who did that if they had a long travel time which anything over 1 1/2 hrs is!
Make sure you let the hotel know you are going to know you are a patient and you might get a discount!

Once I finished my second bottle I was fine after about 3 hours, nothing else came out but I had to do two, one at noon and the next that evening.

The notebook of info I got has pre-op stuff in it and it just says that you are on a liquid diet for four days prior to the surgery. I am now wondering what they have left out of the book..lol.. This all makes me dizzy sometimes. And I have that hip replacement surgery to look forward too. OMG.. Sorry got off track just feeling overwhelmed sometimes. But I have to remember I want my life back so if they want me to drink crap I guess I will drink it..lol
