Dumb question. I'm almost 1 year out. Any reason for my left side to be hurting? I had a Dr appt set for next tuesday, but of course they called back to reschedule cause my doc is going to be out of town.
Seems like lately I am "sugar dumping" everything. or having the symptoms of it. nausia, profuse sweating and hot flashes.... even with just straight protein. any Ideas?

Left side upper or lower?
On your left is the spleen, the left kidney, and your pouch (not in that order). Lower, you have ovaries. Or it could be from gas.
I do think it's best to have some lab work done, and have your dr see you.
As for the dumping, is it hot sweat or cold sweat? Because with dumping, it's cold sweat. Profuse sweating and hot flashes sound more like menopauseal symptoms...you may not be going through menopause, but your hormones will be running rampant, and things can go wonkers there, so, that's another possibility.
When's your dr coming back from vacation? Set up an appt for the earliest date possible.

It doesn't take long to see just how great it is having a Doc on the site.. BTW have I mentioned I love this place..
Hang in there girl and get some rest. And of course if things get to bad and you cant take it go to the emergency room. Better to have them send you home with gas then suffer at home.

Thanks everyone. Got my doc app set for the 21st. it is my upper left side. cold sweating. I'm really trying hard not to get any carbs at all in except for those in my unjury. I have also been drinking more fluids in a hopes that I can flush out whatever is happening. I had started on the b12 sublingual and get very nausiated.(don't know if its related) so for now I am going to hold off until the doc gets my bloodwork done and then hopefully get on the b12 shots. I will keep y'all updated as I go.

ohhh poor Michele. I'm really sorry that you're going through tough/painful times! me too I just hate to wait for doc appointments sometimes you wait for your appointment until the problem almost go away!!
I also have left back side pain! 2 weeks ago I had the toughest one I wasn't able to raise up my back! I thought it was the kidney stones coz it felt like something was tearing that area up! I went to the emergency doc and had my kidney ultra sound and he said that nothing was wrong with it! it must be gas! to be quite honest I felt embarrassed! I know how the gas would feel! but that pain was horrible! anyhow he gave me a pain killer and some gas tabs!
honestly the pain is still there! I don't know anymore if it's the kidney or the back muscles or the back bones! I'm just ignoring it!
I had the same foggy problems and some how it is related to B complex coz in the 2 times I saw my surgeon he prescribed B complex 6 shots and felt OK after wards!
I guess I need to see my surgeon soon, it has been a while.
Praying for you to feel better soon my dearest friend.
