Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Young teen gets weight loss surgery I saw an article today at CNN in there health section about a 13 year old girl that her mother by passed all the clearances to get weight loss surgery and took her to Mexico and got her a lap band. Where here in the states they are not even cleared for teens let alone one as young as her. She also took her before this and got her a tummy tuck and lipo to help her lose weight. Now this young girl was way over weight for her age. And is an admitted compulsive eater. I just saw this and feel for her and well at least the mother didn't get her bypass surgery. I was wondering if she would be able to find a Dr. in the states that would do her saline shots for the band or would she have to go back to Mexico for that stuff.. I just feel bad that the mother jumped the gun and went right to Lap band and didn't think it was important to follow the process. She said it just cost money..omg.. I thought you guys might like to see this. Go to CNN and go to their vid section and click on health. I tried to make a link to that vid but it is not as easy as you tube. (I am a Internet/network engineer I am ashamed lol) I really do not think I would allow my daughter to get this done at that age unless I worked with her on other ways first.. I am scared this will be a trend and parents will just follow along with it. Especially seeing that her mother is thin. I wonder if part of it is the stigma of having a over weight child. Hummmm... Go see this vid before they take it down it has been there since the 7th it looks like and it may not be there much longer. Again sorry for the link problems I will work on it..lol...

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | click on heath, and then view all health video and then scroll down. you will see "pre-teen wls" thisi s disgusting. she is 12. already had a tummy tuck and lipo. and her mom is psycho. they took her to mexico because in the us this is not approved for adolescents. whats sad is that she is wearing so much makeup and dressed so inapropriately that you cant even tell she's 12. this is crazy.

I would love to see that chubby little 12 year old girl than the one I see now on the film. Did you see that skirt she had on? I dont have a daughter but Gessh !!!! This child will have to deal with this the rest of her life. I mean to get Lipo and a Tummy Tuck before this? I surely hope this mom lives near the boarder because this kid is gonna swallow something down and its gonna lodged in and she is gonna be in severe pain from it. Yes it could kill her if she dont get the fluid drawn off the port in time. Moms worried more about money than she is her own kid is the way I see it. Ewee this just makes me so mad. I have a niece who was very overweight at the age of 3. She was literally as round as she was tall. Over the next 3-4 years she has grown almost to my height at age 12 and she still is ovewieght but nothing like she was. She probally wears a 16. Her thyroid was messed up. They started treating that and had her mom watch the sugar she brought in the house and it just fell off her. Most of you know that the Thyroid can cause severe problems and add weight on. Sometimes it takes years to show its ugly self. If her mother would have even suggested this I would have fought my hardest for custody of her. You love what you have instead of what you want. This mom is the one that needs mental help. Then the daughter for what the moms did to her. |

And I am glad I am not the only one who looks a that girl and sees a young girl dressed like she is 18. And yes the make up is un real. I do have girls. my oldest girl just turned 19 and I would give her a hard time even now if she dressed like that. My youngest is 6 and only in her dreams will she ever leave the house looking that way. My heart goes out to her because her mother is well in my eyes unfit. She has put this girls life in danger or am I being to dramatic about this????

| Super Moderator  | Okay, I haven't seen the vid, I don't have the time to check it out right now, but just reading about this child makes me  A twelve year old?  Medically speaking, or biologically, developementally, whatever you please, speaking, a 12 year old isn't even physically, let alone mentally, mature yet!!!I'd hate to think of all the physical and mental issues the poor girl will have as the result of this. Sheesh, I don't believe in a surgeon who'd do the surgery on such a child, it's clear the guy's in just for the money, and that's Anywho... off my soap box for now, time for family duties.
