Yes, the worrying has begun. I have been sipping water most of the day, had 6 oz. of protein drink this morning and had chicken broth for lunch. I've also had a couple of popsicles. Is this enough liquids just starting out. I feel so full. Is that normal?

Gosh, you've had way more than I have had. I've only been sipping water and taking about 5 oz of protein drink every few hours. My medical team kept repeating to me not to worry about it and only take in as much as I could handle. I'm even scared to have anything other than the protein drinks. To think about chicken broth or a popsicle at this point in time really doesn't even sound appealing. Just keep sipping that water. Goodness knows, what got us to this point (our fat) will keep us nourished for the first few weeks of our journey, so long as we get enough liquids. Hang in there!

I remember feeling really bloated like immediately after surgery (post op 1 week or so). But it slowly goes away. Good luck you guys!

Thirst is a sign that you are already dehydrated, so never go thirsty. Especially in this heat, the height of summer (we've had a few consecutive days of over 100 weather which is rare for us) be sure that you keep water or crystal light or whatever with you always.
