I ate some (ok, too much) popcorn tonight and holy moly am I uncomfortable! I have these horrible pains in my lower abs. I can't believe how much this hurts and that I was so foolish. I've eaten popcorn before. My nut said 1-2 cups is fine. I ate too much and it hurts. All day today I wanted to eat more than what my body needed and I caved in about 2 hours ago. Man am I paying now. This is why I wanted the surgery. I wanted consequences if I made poor choices. So now I've learned my lesson. I will follow the directions. I won't eat more than my nut or my body tell me to. Please let this awful pain pass now! If you get the munchies, don't do it! Drink some water instead. Please let me have learned my lesson which I will not repeat! Amy

I am sorry i wasnt able to do popcorn for long time. BETWEEN gas that it caused me and the swelling in your pouch that popcorn will do i bet its sore. I would use some chewable gas x. SOME surgeons dont allow popcorn for a bit. I know for me it didnt sit will with me till near a year post op. HUGS feel better!

Hang in there Amy! I guess that's why we call our surgery "a tool" is because it helps retrain us from our old bad habits of eating too much by giving us painful reminders of that behavior. I am sorry you're hurting -- I hope you feel better real soon!

I have to say i have done that once to many times. Sometimes i have to  to make it feel better. I know thats not a good thing however it makes me feel better. It happens. Dont sweat it. I have popcorn all the time and had it early out. LOVE IT... LittleLisaMarie
