Hey everyone..........I think I saw this on here before but it was a while back and I totally forgot about it and now Im wondering........

how many of you fellow by pass patients wear a medical id bracelet? My mom happened to be flying this past week and somehow got talking to a nurse on the plane and etc......well the woman mentioend that I should be wearing a medical id bracelet god forbid something happens and Im out of it and this way medics are alearted to the fact that I have had the surgery.

How many of you wear these bracelets??????

Also I havent seen them in a while but years ago the medical id bracelts were bery ugly. Didnt like the looks of them. Silver and kinda klunky and not too fashionable. not that it should matter. maybe they make nicer ones now a days.

I used to wear one but it broke my entire arm out.. i'm very sensitive to different metals and I need to be buying a new one maybe made out of material instead of metal

i dont wear one but i was thinking about this too for some reason recently. like if i get into an accident or something, they need to know.....hmmm. let me know if you find out where to get one other than medic alert. i was going to just get a reular id bracelette and have it engraved because it would look nicer but let me know if you find something.

I got my mom one after her stroke and I will have to find the website for it. They are absolutely beautiful! There was svwarsky (sp) crystals, pearls and all kinds...they look like really nice bracelets. Let me see if I can find it...they are kind of pricey though. I think hers was $90.00.

I would have never thought about this either. A medic alert bracelet for a GBP patient??!!

Yeah this is how I remember them looking. Not too pretty. Darn it. but I guess its important. I just wish they were a bit nicer looking.

well if you think about it, if something happend where you cant speak or what have you, they will need to know this in order to treat you in the hospital. its a really good idea. i just want something pretty...now that my wrists are boney

Like you said Kenya, what if we were in a car accident or something like that and no one to speak for us. Im excited that there is anotehr site and that it has prettier onces. Those silver and gold chunky ones are the ones that I remember and I dont care for them. Like you said, i want soemthing pretty.
