There tends to be a lot of fly by night type places opening on every corner. MONEY is not the factor in this surgery, but a lot of places are saying come to us and we will charge you less. Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ok so....i ws thinking about this all night and i have to say that i am bothered by it more than i thought. i think on the one hand its good because it gets people to think about WLS, but the question is WHO does it get to think about it and WHAT are they thinking?? that its easy and doesnt require "approval"?? that you can just decide to do it and have it done and all you do is sit back and lose weight?? i think this isnt something that should be marketed. it isnt like buying an appliance. its life changing and should be looked at seriously. i think a commercial might protray this like a magic bullet and that the WRONG way to present this. im a little distrubed by it lol. can you tell? im really worried for the next wave of people looking to have WLS. i know how ill informed i was about the psych portion, but i think if i would have seen a commercial for this pre-op i would be even more worse off than i am now....i think. i dunno.
