| Super Moderator | You don't need to think about calories for now, nor set a goal for it. The only goal you need at this stage is for protein and fluids. Calories and other stuff are for when you have reached your goal weight and are in maintenace. Until then, if you bring things other than protein and fluids into the picture, it's going to do nothing other than stress you out. Don't try to take a big bite of how/what to do to get to goal. Take one step at a time, one day at a time, and you will get there. ((((((HUGS))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | i think on average most of us only eat about 500-700 calories a day or something like that. i cant see how it would be more when we eat so little and cant really eat the "wrong" stuff. whatever it is, its UNDER what would normally be required to maintain your weight, which is why you lose (im guessing) so as long as you stay under what you should be eating had you NOT had surgery, you're fine ( again im guessing) |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | The Bridges Center dietitian suggest that we put everything on fitday.com and it will add all the nutrients you need - but as the Dr says - you need to count your protein and make sure you get in the fluids -this was also stressed in the classes I took for my surgery
