| Chewable/Liquid Calcium
Just curious what others have used or do use for Calcium. I am having a hard time finding a chewable calcium - I know I can do Tums...well I think I can but my husband doesnt think there is enough Calcium in it. Anyone have any input on Tums? Also - I saw that there is a Liquid Calcium on the E Store on here - has anyone tried that? I hate chewables and try to avoid them as much as possible so a liquid would be great. What do you guys use and where do you get it? Thanks for the input!

you can buy liquid calcium at the health food stores including Sprouts, Wild Oats etc. You can also buy Tums that have 800 mg chewables. Our clinic requires the Tums twice a day for 6 month/ then go to Citrical chewables. I use to put the liquid over my jello at night several years ago.

I bought a liquid at the Vitamin Shoppe. It is TWINLAB Cal-Quick. It is strawberry flavored (but has a hint of a minty undertone). It's not bad at all. 1 tsp has 500 mg of calcium (so take 2 or 3). The only thing is it is not chelated so I take the third spoonful. But it really is good and its just one quick spoonful!

Chelation is a process that stabilizes metal ions, in this case, so it doesn't react with something else before absorption, and as a result, not be absorbed.

| ugh... Liquid Calcium just doesn't sound that good to me.... I have trouble enough with the Bariatric Advantage Chewable Calcium.... Lisa Marie got me on Citrical...(she love the caramel...I like the Chocolate Mint better)....but, now I use a pill form....I'm soooo glad to be out of the phase of PostOp that I don't have to worry about "chewables".... |

| Puritans pride has liquid calcium. I have been buying my vits from them for over 20 years. They also have a 70% off site as well. Puritan Sale - Discount Priced Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements, visit Puritan.com - Puritans Pride That one is the discount site but you can go to puritan.com to the regular home site. They have a good price on protein powder I have used that a long time. I just hope I still like it after surgery..

UpCal-D powder was recommended to me. It's calcium citrate with the necessary vitamin D which you just add to your water/crystal light etc.
I tried the Citracal Chewy Bites but I find them sickly sweet.
