Default liquid protein

I couldn't find another question about this so I gotta ask - have any of you tried that Pro-Stat 64? 15 gms of protein for 1 oz. Just wondering if it is any good or not. I got up to 42 gms of protein today and know I am just a week out but I also know I have to get up to the 75 before too long.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I STILL SWEAR BY IT BECAUSE ITS THE EASIEST WAY TO GET YOUR PROTEIN IN. ESPECIALLY FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH EATING OR DRINK BIG AMOUNTS DUE TO STRICTURES THIS WAS THE WAY TO GO.

IT WAS ON MY MENU IN THE HOSPITAL THATS HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT AND TASTED IT. IT NOT THE GREATEST TASTE. BUY THE WILD CHERRY AND IT LIKE TAKING CHERRY COUGH MEDICINE. FOR ONE OUNCE ITS BAREABLE. I USUALLY TAKE A SHOT OF IT AND THEN DRINK WATER OR WHAT EVER AFTER.

I FIND I MEET THE GOAL OF MY DAILY PROTEIN WITH PROSTAT 64 EVERYDAY. I REALLY CANT BE BOTHERED WITH THE LARGER DRINKS ITS TO MUCH FOR ME, I DONT LIKE ALOT OF THEM AND THIS IS VERY FAST AND EASY. ONE SHOT AND YOUR DONE NO WORRIES OR PRESSURE ABOUT HOW YOU WILL FIT YOUR PROTEIN FOR THE DAY IN.

ALSO IF YOU READ ABOUT PRO STAT64 YOU WILL FIND OUT ABOUT HOW IT PROMOTES HEALING AND ITS ALREADY BROKEN DOWN SO ITS EASIER TO DIGEST THAN OTHER PROTEIN DRINKS. THIS IS WHERE I BUY IT FROM Buy ProStat 64 Liquid Protein - CWI Medical

Pro-Stat™ delivers the highest concentration of protein and calories
in the smallest serving size.
• Sugar free - 30 ml(1 fluid oz) = 15 g protein and 60 calories.
• Pro-Stat64 is easy to administer - no mixing required, can be administered
orally or via feeding tubes.
• Use as Med Pass, Nourishment or Nutrition Supplement.
• Greater compliance and consumption than with traditional supplements.
• Hydrolyzed for rapid absorption.
• Promotes tissue healing and weight stabilization.
• Wheat, Lactose and Gluten Free.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU END UP DOING. GOOD LUCK

Thank you Thank you - I did order a bottle just now of the cherry - none of the other stuff sounds all that good anyway. I like the myoplex mocha stuff but to get 16 oz down and only have 42 gms during the 1st 3-6 weeks seems like too tall an order!

Thanks for the info - I am needing to find something before surgery and cannot stand "grit" in anything I eat so I was getting a bit worried. I will have to check it out

GNC have a liquid protein (Pro PerformanceŽ Liquid Protein - Punch). GNC - GNC Pro PerformanceŽ Liquid Protein - Punch

3 tbsp = 90 calories and 18g protein.

I don't mind it as is but it mixes well with Crystal Lite "Fruit Punch".

The upside is that you can take it back if you don't like it.

I think it's pretty much a crap shoot when it comes to protein supplements. Some taste absolutely vile. And even those that aren't too bad pre-op, taste like they would curdle milk post-op.

Why can't someone design a range of patches to cover the needs of bariatric/cancer etc. etc. patients. There has to be an easier way than this.

A protein patch - what an awesome idea!!! I found that what I like pre-op had little to no bearing on what I liked post op; also, what pouchy liked the first few weeks makes me gag now! Thankfully, Im finally able to get my protein via food now. I find that pouchy doesnt like food first thing, so my first "hit" of the day is 16 oz of skim milk with 1 SF instant breakfast - 23g of protein and it lasts til Im ready for food. I also found it odd that while I really liked eggs pre op, now I just cant down one. I was also a avid iced tea drinker, now my regular tea (Luzianne) is sooooo strong, I found that I prefer green tea now.
