Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | According to my surgeon and when he uses the lingo "HONEYMOON" he refers to the time frame which weight should easily come off as a result fo the surgery. I hear varying from doctors as to how long this HONEYMOON Period is but in my surgeons eyes its 18 months. AFTER that our pouch is at a bigger size, we can eat more then early post op and weight loss will be harder but can still happen after this time frame. I believe after this point our absorption is much increased. DONT know if that helps just what my surgone means with the HONEYMOON ....

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I've recently bought this book Exodus from Obesity book that has a lot of explainations...I'd really suggest you get it...there is a lot of good info for pre-op.....the second is a book that a one of my friends gave me, I started reading two weeks before my surgery...and that was really great prep....Here are the two books: Exodus from Obesity: The Guide to Long-Term Success After Weight Loss Surgery by Paula F. Peck Before and After: Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery by Susan Maria Leach Hope you will check these out...Also you can click the book titles and that will take you to where you can review, read excerpts...or even buy the book on Amazon.com Hope these help...they really have been really wonderful!!~ I actually wish I would've had the first book BEFORE my surgery.
