I have been drinking half of a protein drink in the morning for breakfast since before surgery. I'm burnt out on that. Can I start having eggs or something for breakfast and then have my protein drink mid morning? Will this slow down my weight loss?

NO it wont slo down your weight loss.
IF you tolerate the eggs go for it.
I ate them alot or cottage cheese
still a protein loaded product.
MY surgeon always preferred
that I got my protein from foods
verses the shakes. BUT i used
them as the snacks!
hugs

Oh, good luck with the eggs! I am still having problems with them, they drop like a ton of bricks in my pouch. I keep trying them with hopes that this go around will be better...NOPE! Let me know how it goes!

I tried it this morning. Not too bad. It felt like I had a lump in my throat at first but then I was ok. Kind of felt strange afterwards eating instead of drinking for breakfast. So far so good. I think I got in about 15 grams of protein. I'll drink half a shake later for snack.

As long as you are clear to try the eggs go for it however i know that many people have issues with eggs early out. The only way to know if your one of them is to try it. I had them very early out and always did fine with them. Good luck and enjoy.

Kim - I'm glad you tried them -- I think having that extra food protein in the morning is good for us. I had a goat cheese eggbeater omelette this morning -- it was so good!

That sounds really good Jill. I just can not eat them, no matter how I fix them or what I add to them. But I keep trying though! LOLOL One day I will get a whole egg down instead of 2-3 bites.
