Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Ok i have a really dumb question. i have been home for about 2 weeks and i would like to have soup, but i dont know what kind i can have. I read most people are sick of soups. My Dr. put me on stage 2 soft foods a day after i was home. The stuff my nut gave me has nothing about eating soup. Let me know which kind i can get at the store.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | The ones from the store are so high in sodium -- even the low sodium ones. If you're really craving soup, I'd recommend making your own. I posted a couple of recipes earlier in the recipe section and I believe so did a few others of some really good soups. They're healthier for you, lower in sodium and at least I think, alot better tasting. Good luck. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I Think You Can Only Have Broth At This Stage. Wonton Soup Is Great With Out The Wontons. Just The Broth Dont Ever Have Soup With The Ingredients In It Like Chicken And Veggies, Etc With The Liquid Part Of The Soup Other Wise Thats Like Eating And Drinking At The Same Time. Thats A No No. You Can Sepearate Them. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | broth and creamy soups; cream of mushroom, cream of chicken etc. they are high in sodium BUT if you dilute them with a can of water they're fine. and you get to stretch it out into 5 meals that way LOL! just remember no noodles and if you get something with veggies or mean remember to puree it out. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I also used tomato soup and put extra milk in it. That was my favorite thing for awhile. Of course the tomato may be hard on your pouch, but mine handled it pretty well a week out, as did my hubbies.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | The information I have from my hospital is to use "low-fat, strained cream soup" made with enriched milk (to 1 cup of fluid non-fat milk, add 1/4 cup of milk powder).
