Exclamation Should I be Concerned?

Im 5 months out, and can still only eat about 2 ozs of solid food (specifically meats) per sitting and thats it. No room for veggies or anything else. For example, last night i had 1 oz slice of turkey and 1/2 a cheese stick (1/2 an oz) that was a total of 1 1/2 ozs of food and i was so full I had to sit back in the chair...

I can drink about 6 ozs in maybe 20 minutes or so...but the food thing. I'm concerned I am still not eating enough. Is this ok for now? I honestly thought my portion size would have doubled by now...am i doing something wrong?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

No, you're doing fine. For the most part, you won't really be able to eat a larger portion until you're around one year out. That's why this is still the golden period for you. I think Lisa/fr1endly2 said that for her, hunger of any sort didn't really start coming back till past 6 months, and it took about a year till she was truly able to eat more.

I think that you are getting enough, im no dr. of course, but you will get very sick if you dont get enough food. I have been there already. You get so sick that you cant eat anything. So i think you are fine.

Focusing on the meat is fine. If you have any space left, then the veggies. If not, the next time, maybe. Don't stress, at this point, it's still get in what you can, and don't bother about the rest.

around 9 months was when i saw my appetitie starting to get bigger
so i wouldnt stress it yet.
it will get bigger in time
it has to eating that small amount forever
would cause major malnourishment.
FOR me it was 10 months out at easter
that i noticed i was able to eat more.
SO relax it will come in time
hugs

I really focus on meats. I am not sure but I could swear I had surgery on my brain too. My worst problem was not food but sweets. After surgery I don't even think about anything that is not meat of high on protein and low on sugar. I go around reading labels. not that I haven't tried any sweet but I have only tried it. I would focus on meats, proteins. But the Doc must know more than me.

90% Of The Time I Focus On Just The Meat But Tonight Instead Of 2 Oz Of Meat Which Look Like To Much To Me I Only Did The 1.5oz Of Meat And Left And With The Room I Had Left Over I Had 2 Asparagus Stips Which Added Up To 1 Protein And A 1/4 Cup Of Yams And That Had 1 Protein. So In A Way I Had My Veggie And Still Had Some Protein

The Aspargus Are Great!!!!!!!!!! I Love Them Fresh But Dont Think Ill Be Able To Tolorate Them Right Now So I Have Them From The Can Because They Are Soooooooooooooooo Soft And Mushy That Way And They Have Protein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Always Try To Leave A Tiny Tiny Bit Of Room For A Veggie And I Still Get In About 80 Or More Proteins A Day!!!! Most Of The Day Concentrate On Getting As Much Protein As Possible To At The Last Meal You Can Not Stress So Much On The Meat And Have A Little Room For The Veggie Thats What I Do

Red face Kenya!

I think you are doing fantastic!!
2oz. of meat is soooo great.

I remember hearing Lisa/Fr1endly2 talk about her hunger coming back around the 1yr mark...and her ability to eat more too...and it terrified me!!

HONESTLY....enjoying eating the small amounts....and losing the BIG POUNDS now....b/c as you are able to consume more...that is when your weight slows down...
My appetite came back somewhere around 9-10mos...and I was able to eat a lot more sometime around that time...and that is where my weight-loss slowed too.
Don't rush it.....
ENJOY THIS TIME....of small and simple eating!!

YOU, my friend, are doing fantastic!!!
