Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Hi! Anyone remember me?? I was here awhile back in the early stages of considering the surgery. Then I got so scared about dying on the table that I plunged myself into a depression like I have never been in before, not knowing at the time that at least part of that was horrible PMS. Anyway, I backed away from this board and all thoughts of surgery for awhile, but the problem is that the thought won't go away. I'm so sick of being fat and yet the thought of a six month structured diet thing is overwhelming at the moment. I guess I'm just complaining as I start easing myself back into the idea. | Super Moderator  | Welcome back, glad to see your face! Sorry about the depression, if you feel really out of sorts, professional help may be of use, if you aren't getting any yet. As for the surgery, it's fine to be scared, that is a good starting point, because you need to know everything about the surgery and then go ahead-- once you have had the surgery, there is no turning back. You are the only one who can decide, and if you choose the surgery, you need to choose just for yourself, not for someone else, or because someone said something. You will know when you are ready for this, so just sit back and relax, get yourself reacquainted with the board, and see what thoughts come to you. ((((((HUGS))))))
