I posted this question on my originall post about being home and fine. I am home feeling very well, sipping, walking and napping. Pre surgery I was a very active person until the end of the day. I know I have had major surgery but I am going nuts in the house except for my walks. I have a very sedate desk job, I am considering going back to work on Monday. I know everyone says a least two weeks. Need feed back. What harm would it be to go back to my desk job on Monday? PS I have a very flexable job, If it gets to be too much I can go home. Help need info on this to weigh the pros and cons. Thanks my friends.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

well...only you know your body. i would say try it and if it doesnt work out go back home. as long as your dr clears you it shouldnt be an issue.

i doubt he will though

No, no, no. Do not do it. Give yourself some time. Sitting was very hard for me; I didn't post for two weeks after surgery because I could not sit in a chari. You need to rest.

I Dont Think You Should Either!! You Should Rest. You Really Dont Realize How Much Healing Your Body Has To Do. Plus You Should Really Spend This Time Adjusting To Everything Esp The New Ways Of Eating.

Please don't go - find a book to read - listen to these guys - I was feeling so good at 3 weeks I helped my husband do something last week and I am now having to recoup as some muscle hurts when I move just right. Give yourself at least 3 or more weeks.

I agree...listen to your body. I was SUPPOSE to be out for 6 weeks and after the first week I decided that I wanted to go back. I went back on week 3 for 4 hours a day for the next 3 weeks. I did however go home and take a small nap afterwards. I was absolutely fine. Your body will tell you when you are doing too much. Plus the fact that everyone is different and heals differently. Good luck with your decision.

Listen to your body, but I know that I felt guilty about being off until I went to work to fix something someone had broken. I went in for 20 minutes about 2 weeks out and regretted it. The walk (about .25 miles in from the parking lot) was nothing. Sitting down in the chair for 20 minutes, just about killed me. Try it out at home first.

I wouldn't do anything until you're 2 weeks out though. Usually they won't clear you to drive until then. You don't want to mess up stitches or staples or anything (at least I think that's the rationale)....

Are your staples still in? If so, I suggest you stay home until they are taken out.
Good luck.
