Default Dumping?

I'm about five months out and don't think I've ever dumped before. My who has had the surgery as well is two years out and she still dumps from time to time. Is this normal for me? If I'm doing something right what is it?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

The dumping happens when you eat too fast or too much or something that doesn't agree with you such as sugar items ect. I have been lucky also, although I do have trouble digesting beef.

I dumped of of Triscuets lastnight, I have also dumped off of a protein shake. So whatever your doing keep on doing it, although you may be one of those people who never have issues with sugar, carb ect. My doc said only a % of us will dump, not sure what that percent is

I hate to be the one with bad news here....
but
i have read only about 40 percent of the gastric bypass
patients actuall dump which leaves 60 percent not
to dump!
so it does happen
and you will have to be stronger to stay away from the evil
fattening foods
sorry !
PS: i rarely dump,,,,,,,but didnt mess with this till after a year

Knock on wood I have not dumped either yet. I am at almost 6 months post op. I dont know if I am lucky or what. I have not put anything with surgar in my mouth. Im deathly afraid of dumping and just dont do it. When i want something sweet I eat my strawberries or some fruit with my protein to hold me off. But then again sweets has never been my problem. Mine is the salty snacks. But I have a co-worker who had the surgery 3 years ago and I know she dumped quite a bit in teh beginging.
I am just gonna keep on knocking on wood for now that I have been lucky.

i have lol. and i consider it agift and a curse. i dump off carbs (white stuff) and fat (deep fried stuff) and those were the things that I over did it with preop. i have yet to dump off sugar (table sugar, i think i dumped off fruit last week lol)....but i was never really big on sweets to begin with....

look at it this way, if you havent yet it either means you are being "good" and staying away from the things you shouldnt have, or you are one of the ones who just dont dump. either way you 're doing FABULOUS. keep up the good work!

i think there's dumping...then there's the foaming hurl.

I ate some refried beans (not fat free) and I was chained to the ladies a room for over a day.....

ate morning star yesterday....foamed...then...well, you know the rest.

Dumping is a blessing and a curse...I think those who do it will learn what to avoid early on. Those that don't may find something down the road that just doesn't sit well......!

Yeah, I haven't dumped either. But, I haven't ate any "sugar" yet either. Only the natural sugars in fruit and stuff. I've had some chips and salsa from a restraunt (chips were fried) and it didn't bother me either. I almost wish I would dump on the bad stuff to keep me in line. I think it makes it a little easier to avoid if you do.

i'm sorry to admit this but i eat candy now and have absolutely no problem with sugar or carbs, the only thing i have had problems keeping down besides the time i had an undiagnosed stricture was buffalo wings, which i can now tolerate no problem. i can't on the other hand deal with grease or butter.instant sickness,so no more red lobster for me,but i don't miss it because it makes me sick
