Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

well from what i hear at my surgeon meeting
is that its very important not to only
do the shakes because ur stomach
has to learn ane get used to eating and
breaking down the foods.
ANYONE that is just doing shakes
they work with to get food in.

ITS an important process. \
THING is when ur further out
ur appetite will come back
and shakes wont fill you. SO if you
dont work with your pourch to learn
to breakdown and move the food thru
the system you might have issues
later out when a shake is no longer
filling you up like a holiday feast. \
\
good luck
JUST MY VIEW AND WHAT I HAVE HEARD

I've thought about it lately. I've been making protein "frappuccino" and I'm totally addicted to it.

And I have my 1 year follow up on Fri. I'm so close to 199 I can taste it. It certainly is a tempting thought to go liquid at least till then.

I know I need to eat. The problem is at work with everyone bringing in crap. Yesterday someone brought in sausage biscuits. I couldn't believe it since she is 3 years post-op, but oh well. Maybe I will just drink my frappuccino at work and then eat at home when I can control it. I just don't trust myself.

Right now, most of us are experiencing SELF EATING...in other words, we are taking in so little, our bodies are in essence, eating themselves (burning off fat, which is stored energy, among other things). The gastric bypass is restriction and mal- absorption, so we aren't even absorbing all that we take in (and we actually take in VERY little, with the size of the pouch).

It is a tool, with about a 6 month honeymoon....THAT WILL END. I'm told the hunger can return with a VENGEANCE....and I'm hoping to get all the good habits in order before my hunger decides to fight back!!!

While I'm sure you are as nuts as I am Kenya, I gotta say...I still like to eat!

Actually Kenya, it might be problematic -- I suppose Doc can answer better -- but as human beings (homo sapiens) we were designed by God to be omniverous. Our bodies need a variety of nutrients. For instance, generally speaking, humans can not live on just protein because there are special nutrients in vegetables and grains that our bodies need to survive (although I do believe there are some eskimos tribes that have adapted??) I think its called "rickets"?? if we dont' get certain vitamins from veggies and grains? I guess on the opposite side, its easier for people to be vegetarians, because there are still proteins you can get through fruits and veggies (like nuts, eggs, cheese)

But personally, I like variety -- even if I can't eat much -- I really enjoy eating a LITTLE bit of what I can. Variety is the SPICE of life!
