Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Edie they work out like 6 hours a day 7 days a week and Bob and Jillians team are on a High Protein low carb diet, actually Jillians people take in 40 % carbs 40 Protein and 20% something else I cant remember. Thats why they lose an insane amount of weight so fast

I haven't seen the program - do they stay on it for a month or more then to be come the highest looser? High protein will do it but one day of carbs after and they will become us most likely - or at least I know how I am

Judy they are on the "Campus" for 3 months I think unless they get voted off. They get voted off by being in the team with the lower weightloss percentage for the week. Will and I did Jillians diet last season. Of course I couldnt stick to it and the exercise was so not me. But she is an awesome trainer and her book makes sense.

boots did you see the show last night. The red team hardly lost anything. I too am truly amaxed how they loose so much. The first week that granpa guy lost something like 31 pounds. I wish they would show more what they are eating. I am truly amazed how much they are loosing.
I like the very end of the show when they show the people who get voted off and how they are doing now and to see their transformations. Im glad they stick to it.

Becka 40%carbs 40 Protein And 20 Somthing Else I Still Dont See The Rhyme Or Reason. We Also Do Alot Alot Protein. I Still Think That Show Should Show Behind The Scenes And What They Are Eating Etc Etc. To Work Out That Many Hours A Day Is Not Very Healthy At All

From what little I've read about the programme, a lot of the big weight losses are to do with dehydration.

This was an eye-opener:

Quote:
But while the message of the show is inspiring, it is also unrealistic. The Biggest Loser achieves rapid transformations--contestants often drop more than 20 lbs. in a week--through calorie restriction, endless exercise and no small amount of dehydration that occurs behind the scenes. Ryan Benson, 38, an actor who works for a DVD distributor in Los Angeles, lost 122 lbs. to win the first season in January 2005 but says he regained 32 lbs. within five days simply by drinking water. Matt Hoover, 31, a motivational speaker based in Seattle, had a 15-lb. rebound within a day of winning Season 2. Last season's runner-up, Kai Hibbard, 28, an aerobics instructor in Alaska who says she spent the night before her final weigh-in hopping in and out of a sauna for six hours, consumed only sugar-free Jell-O for several days and wolfed down asparagus, which is a natural diuretic. "It's amazing the things you learn in a weight-loss competition," she says.

i just think that sure we could all lose 100 lbs in 3 months if we were secluded, didnt have to work or care for a family and had nothing to do but exercise for 8 hours a day. it IS unrealistic. i dont know about the dehydration or whatever else they do. of course i watch it because i am a reality junkie but i know in my heart that i could never keep it off by the means that they get it off. its like doing slim fast. as soon as you deviate (eat) you put back on weight. lol! it's very entertaining though.
