Default High Anxiety

Hi everyone, I am having very high anxiety. I have 11 days to go before my surgery. I have never been scatter brained, but OMG, I am forgetting to do important things (like pay bills on time, only 1 day late, but it's not like me). I have laid things down and forgotten where I put them 2 minutes later and have to waste 15 minutes trying to find where I put the item. I am a very organized person and I can only guess that I am "reacting" to the stress of waiting, worrying, etc and I have to say I am not enjoying this part of the journey. I even called my doc about anti-anxiety meds and he agreed that I should start the med now. I now can only hope that the anxiety level will decrease once I am safely thru the surgery and on the losers bench. Have any of you gone thru this?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Yes its normal I think. I was the same way. Its just that some of us wait soooooooo long for this to happen and then it gets down to the wire. I was the same way. Just try to relax and soon it will be your big day. Best wishes and hang in there.

relax...relate...release...I went through a bit of this, as it was up in the air, then all the sudden "you're having sugery next week" kinda thing...I WAS LIKE...OH LORD...I have so much to do, supplements to buy....did I take my daughter to school this morning....?

Sounds perfectly normal, and before you know it, the surgery will be done and gone....

SAVING YOU A SPOT ON THE LOSER's BENCH!!!

Yes it is COMPLETELY normal!!! I mean, I was soooo close to not going. But I can tell you this, I am SOOO happy that I went thru with it. It is a very scary thing. So many risks involved. And you HAVE to be prepared with what you're going thru. I about died my last visit at the surgeon's office a week before surgery. I had to sign a gazillion papers saying I understand this risk, that risk, and so on. It REALLY made me get sick to my stomach. I typed letters to my kids "just in case". But all went well and here I am, 86 pounds lighter I'll be praying that God brings you some peace about this, and that everything goes well.

I did the same thing too! It's a big thing you're doing. You'll be fine once you're on the loser's bench (and the nice drugs have gotten out of your head)
