 |  The difference between Feeling & Seeing
I took new pictures of myself today and uploaded them.  I know I "feel" better and I "feel" thinner and I "feel" healthier but when I look at my own pictures I don't "see" it as much as my husband or other people do. 
I guess its going to take a while yet until I'm really thinner to make me realize its happening. I look at everyone else's pictures and say WOW! But when I look at my own -- I just don't see it as much? Anyone else have those feelings???  |

We see ourselves all the time, and it's harder for us....I walked out the bathroom the other night....after 49 pounds, looking at my husband going....I FINALLY SEE IT!!!! Of course, he cracked up....we are loosing all over and it's easier for others to see!
By the way...I think you look fantastic....you look uncomfortable in your "old" pics, and your features are much softer and relaxed now...I see a big difference!

Yes that feelign is normal I think. I dont see it either but almost every day someone says something about my weight loss. So I think it takes a while for our minds to catch up with our weightloss.

I remember passing a window and thinking "Wow, that lady has on the same shirt I do". Well, it was me! How funny.
I've asked my sister or friend to point out people who are about my size. Somehow seeing it on another person helps me to visualize.

I felt the way you do about myself Jill, people say they see it but I really don't, and I was thinking, the weight is coming off all over, not just in the areas that I really would like to see gone right away, and I am always focusing on these areas when I look at myself and then feel discouraged. I was lying in bed last nite thinking "Will I really lose that much?" I still am not convinced that this is going to work for me, I have been huge for so long I can't even imagine not being anymore.
