Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Are you on solids? Are you eating small bites really slowly and chewing very well? I have been getting sick lately on some of the things that I have been able to tolerate before. It is strange how this new pouch works. One day is fine and the next is horrible. This is definately a learning situation. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. And if need be, you might want to call your surgeon and ask them.

EWWWWWWWWWW FOAMIES...for anyone who doesn't understand foamies...it's not getting sick, but taking everything you have inside to avoid it!!!

Sorry you are struggling....what stage of foods are you on? I tend to foam when I eat too fast....

Hang in there. Its just your grouchy pouchy still trying to heal itself. I still have days like that and Im almost 6 months out. Some days are good days and others are bad days. It takes a while for our bodies to heal even though we are good on the outside. hang in there.

It gets better. With what I can eat now, I sometimes wish I was back where things made me nauseous. Not I only get that way if I eat too much or eat something really greasy.

Default I understand!

I am two weeks post-op and I'm still eating very soft foods, mostly liquids. My surgeon has us on a very rapid diet that has five stages and this week I should be starting stage five. No thank you. I'm still between stage 2 and 3. Last week when I woke in the morning, I felt nauseaus (?) until I got up and moved around a little bit. Then I felt better. But, Monday night I ate some chicken and pasta. Maybe only two or three bites and I did chew very well, but it just sat in my chest. It was a very yucky feeling. I finally threw it up later that night, but I've felt yucky ever since. I haven't been able to eat much, but I'm eating about half a container of yogurt at a time and tonight I bought some instant mashed potatoes. I wonder if maybe I'm not eating enough and that's why I feel so yucky. But, I eat really slow and either liquids or very soft foods. The mashed potatoes taste really good tonight!
Hope you get to feeling better!
angie

The differences in our Dr's really is amazing. Im 3 weeks out. Im still on a full liquid diet. I don't even know what all I can have because what Im taking in is doing OK. He suggested i try to make 6 very small meals of things but I cant yet. I do good to get 3 in. Yes this is liquid Im talking about. I have found with the strained soups etc i do have if they are warm they set much better. I know my limit already because I burp. Im taking at least 30 mins to eat my 1/2 cup meal. Sometimes I don't finish but I make myself wait at least another 30 before I drink something behind it. While Im in the liquid stage Im fine with that. I know when It comes to starting to actually chew something the waiting on the drinking thing is gonna kick my butt.

mashed potatoes were my best friend when I started on soft foods! Those and refried beans. I have a hard time with eggs, still! I am staying with Chicken Turkey and Tuna as that is the easiest on my pouch.
