I do, but I top it with cottage cheese, mozerella cheese and fresh bacon bits for added protein. Some days it sits better than others. It is hard to chew lettuce to mush for me!

I had salad for the first time after I was cleared at 2 months. I ate all of the meat and cheese and barely had room for 2 bites of the salad. It sure was good though. I have always been a salad eater.

actually, in retrospect, I miss salad....there's very little nutritional value, but I love how they taste!!! I'm so busy spending my pouch space on protein and veggies, I have yet to have room for salad! I've take a few bites of one, and it tasted heavenly. One thing I DESPISE are the fat free dressings. If I want salad, I want BAD SALAD!!! (cheese, eggs, bacon, RANCH!!!)

I tried salad the first time 2 or 3 weeks ago. It sat fine with me. I was a little nervous at first, but I have really been missing it.
I know it's said that we shouldn't eat salad because it doesn't have any nutritional value, but if we completely deny ourselves things we enjoy, won't the cravings get out of control and put us right back were we were before?? overdoing it?? sneaking it?? getting ourselves upset over it??? I had some salad (some = about 4 bites) and enjoyed EVERY bite. And I don't think that a couple of bites once every week or two is really going to deplete my meat and veggie portions. I even had REAL ranch dressing (about a teaspoon lol). I say if it is something we REALLY want, and it's not going to hurt us (like dumping, or vomiting) have a bite or 2. We haven't quit living have we?? Just remember not to overdo it at each sitting or frequency of enjoying.
