Default Is a mans pouch a different size?

Ok i have a stupid question. my dad just had the same surgery as i did a few months ago. and he is able to eat more than i could at his stage. He was much bigger so he is losing bigger numbers, i am happy for him, but sometimes i think he eats too much. At least compared to what i ate...
he just had another follow up ( 3 months), they said he was losing fine, warned him about eating too many carbs... etc... so i am just wondering, are their pouches made a different size?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

you know i was hoping for a "yes" LOL, so i could say see, that is why...... I am truly happy for him, but it is funny, because i worry for him as much as i do for me, (about re-gaining etc) his wife (my stepmom) is making the appt to start the process for herself. we will be a family of WLS patients, and as everyone as different as can be, when it comes to what we can eat, the problems we do or don't have..... it is very funny, he teases me when he is able to eat something i can't. i teased him when he had his first dumping,....

My dad had WLS in May. He has lost just over 100lbs. He had the same doc as me, and doc flat out told us that yes my dad's pouch is bigger then mine. Ever doc is different. I was shocked too at the amount of food my dad can eat. Even with me being 15 months out and him only 5 months, he can eat way more then I can.

When I had my first appointment to see my sergeon ... he told me my pouch will be smaller than a wallnut ! He was having fun with me because he said right now its probably bigger than a football...lol (atleast I hope he was joking...lol ) So in January it doesnt seem like Ill be going to any all you can eat Buffets anytime soon ! lol But I got to agree with everyone else though...i guess every doctor is different in there approuch ! If I may say..I wouldnt be worried about your Dad if I was you ....you got 5 pounds left till you reach your goal!!! Thats AWESOME !!! Congratulations !!

Jerry they told me too that before surgery the stomach was the size of a football an that afterwards the pouch would be about the size of a golf ball. It amazing. Soon enough Jerry you will be having your walnut pouch and be on the loosing side with us. Soon soon enough.

From what I was told from my own surgeon, He said he makes the pouches different sizes depending on the patient. He tends to leave the mens pouch a tad bigger. Why? I have no idea. They always have said a man needs more so I suppose that is why?

The pouch varies from 15ml to 25 ml from what I know. That's about 1/2 oz to 4/5 oz. It would be reasonable to assume that the surgeon will change the size of the pouch by the person's height, and how much one needs to eat as maintenance after losing the excess weight.
