Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Cream for Scars?
Has anyone tried any of the creams that reduce scars? I've been thinking about getting some for my "stab wounds" and I'd like to know which one to get. I think I also heard somewhere that the scar cream is good for wrinkles too. Anyone heard that? Thanks! |

Hmmmmm dont know about the wrinkle part but used coco butter cream and I am not sure if worked or not. They are still there but they could be less than someone who didnt use cream. Not sure.

i used this stuff called maderma at first. i have since stopped. i have keyloids so my scars will be raised no matter what i do. but it worked wonders for a friend. they sell this over the counter at cvs, walgreens eckerd type places.

What we tell our patients to use is just plain old Vitamin E. Get a bottle take a pin to the end of the capsuleand make a hole. Squeeze out the oil and rub it on your scar. We do alot of facial work espeically with Cancer spots. Just use it daily for a while and see if it dont help. The patients that have used this swear by it. Considering its there face I think it does a wonderful job. The results are not overnight so its gonna take a while ok.

Kenya, We remove Keloids alot. I have no idea why but they seem to be more promident in African Americans than whites. You can try it but im not sure. What we do is try to shrink them with a injection of Kenalog. Alot of times this works and they totally disappear. You can ask your Dr or even your PCP about and injection into them to see if they wont go away. We mainly see them when someone has pierced there ears. They can always be cut out but i would try the injection first. |

yes very true missvickie! i have one on my ear but its not in the way of the piercing so i never bothered to get it removed, but now anyplace on my body where i have a scar this has happend. even my c- section line. i also have them in the 'other areas" where i have been pierced god help me if i get a tummy tuck after all this. the scar would be far worse than the saggy skin  LOL! i will ask my doc at the next visit. THANKS!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have tons of scars and I swear by vitamin E. Cream and oil. Get the stuff that is only vitamin e oil. And be sure to do it religiously. My thyroid scar on my neck is so nice you can hardly see it. As a matter of fact I started using a vitamin E cream mixed with a few drops of Vit E oil as soon as my breast scar was healed.. It is pretty long at least four inches. And it is so smooth and nice I am very happy with the way it healed.

I use cocoa butter with vitamin e in it. It has already more than taken care of the ugly brown marks that the tape left on me. I used it after both of my arm surgeries and it did wonders!
