Mine was 2 months apart then they called me to come in for the final one before surgery. This was the first visit by myself. Then 2 months later with my support person aka my hubby. Then they called me to come in 5 days before my sugery to sign papers. There all different honey but this was my experience.

First visit was in April, second visit was once the insurance company approved me for surgury in August. Then I had an endoscopy, then a pre-op visit and then surgery on Sept 5th.

i came back the first time in like 2 weeks, then it was a month, then two months,, went that way until i hit my 9 months, now i don't go back until December, my anniversary month, blood work, ewwwww. i would think it all depends on you and your Dr. I have learned that some Dr.s are very different from each other, even down to the 2 in the same office that i go to. one will let you have a little bit of sugar, but not mine no sugar at all in those first few months, etc.. Just follow your doctors advice.

I went to the seminar July 3rd....1st appointment was July 12th...we did labs, EKG etc on that visit. Had my psych visit July 13th...and once released from that (took a couple of days), surgery was scheduled August 1st!
my 3 month anniversary is today and I'm down at least 62 pounds (I didn't weigh this morning...it could be 63!)

I went to the seminar in mid April, called for an appointment beginning of May and saw the surgeon beginning of June, did all the other (my Dr., psych, nutritionist) and saw the surgeon again end of July, they called me mid August and told me I had a week to get ready for my surgery!

I went to the seminar in Feb, seen the dietician in March needed three visits with her, one April & May then Psyc in June and July, visit with the surgon in Aug and they called me in Sept to say Insurance approved they called in Oct to say date for Nov 20. It seemed like an eternity, hang it.

I was a private pay and it took about two months from the seminar until surgery, Seemed like forever, I can't imagine jumping through insurance hoops!
