Exclamation How much sugar is too much?

I have been really reading labels. And at this stage, i am still on liquids and now some soft food. But i see some things have 3g sugar, some none because it is with sweetner and is SF, and some that have 13g or 25g and more!
SO... OTHER THEN zero sugar, what is a safe sugar level in a given food to stay under? Even something as innocent as apple juice has 13g sugar! though i do dilute it...
i need to know "safe" carb levels too... thanks!

i think my paperworkj say 6g or less is safe, anything over that there is a chance you will dump. but everyone is different. you may not dump off sugar at all.....check with your dr or your nut. all of us have different instructions so its hard to say really.

I try to use 5-10 as the number...I have been watching fat, carbs, and sugar...I've seen SO many products that claim to be "diet", yet they are loaded with high numbers in multiple categories. It becomes very hard to cut out everything, but the fact that we are watching this more closely is PROGRESS!!!

Same here, I try to stay under 6...but sometimes it does go a lil over. No more than 10 for me though.

well natural sugar is different. i believe you can have up to 17g of no sugar added frutose things. like if it is 100% real juice. you have to be every careful with this. read the labels. it cannot be juice cocktail. i have done fine with cranberry juice and apple juice undiluted when its the real stuff.

I can manage usually 10-15 but try to stay under 10. I still dump to this day and its not a good feeling. You prob will not know your limit unless you get to it one day and then boy you will know....
