Yeah, but I really need to know. The spicy food - I could give it up for all that I'd get in return, but this could be a deal breaker.
He already doesn't want me to have this surgery. |

So you are saying that has to go?
Like I said, I can give up the spicy food if I have to, but well, that isn't just about him, you know, and I believe that is directly related to my health as well.
- it gets kind of complicated at this point to say any more.
Hummmm.

I don't know why I didn't think of this when thinking about everything else that would change. |

There's been some threads/posts on hanky panky in the past. All in all, everyone seems to be satisfied with the results, though early out, with the loss of stamina while recovering, one can hit some sort of bumps temporarily. Also, if you have uncontrolled/untreated depression (which sometimes happens post op, or temporarily gets worse post op if you are already being treated for it), it can affect relationships in various ways.
Emotional, rather than physical relationships seem to become more of an issue post op, actually, you'll see, if you check into the Family and Loved Ones forum.
If you are wondering when you can resume various kinds of actvities, exercises, etc, you may need to give yourself a couple of weeks to a month before you can resume 'em. A bit longer where weight lifting etc aare concerned. In the event that you have your surgery, you can ask your surgeon when, that would be best.

Thanks, DocSanae - I understand, but I'm just wondering about 1 specific thing - and if that will have to go forever.
I understand what you are saying about the emotional stuff more than the physical stuff. Things have been a little difficult in the physical department since his heart attack, which messed with my head emotionally for a while, but that one aspect was kind of the compromise we could both live with and - LOL, I guess this is more for me than it is for him.
Yeah. Most definitely need to discuss this with the surgeon. Or someone.
