Question addicted to water-- can't get enough! Feeling dizzy too

sO ODD-- BUT FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS I FEEL LIKE I CAN'T GET ENOUGH WATER.

i have never been a big water drinker- but i am sooo thirsty!

so i sip, sip, sip like i am supposed to... and i am always so full! i get my protien in and vitamins but the food is hard b/c im so full from drinking.

ALSO since yesterdeay and also today i feel a bit light headed... it comes and goes-- happens when i stand up from sitting or laying down.

Other then that i feel fine and the weight is coming off at a rate i am very happy with. i am following my dr's orders and walking etc.

So what might cause the thirst and diziness?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I've read other posts about the dizzys....and there are reasons for it...my concern with your post....are you getting in calories? Your blood sugar could be low if you are still struggling with the food part....!

Also there is what is called orthostatic bloodpressure, which means the pressure can change too fast from a lying or sitting position to a standing position, just a thought get up a bit slower, hang your feet for a minute or so and then stand up,it may help out. Hang in there you r doing great.........kathy

I wish I could get addicted to water again. Ever since my surgery I think water tastes funny. It was much easier to drink lots of water before the surgery.

You are really doing great with your weight loss. You have lost a lot so quickly. Keep up the great work. I hope I get to catch up to you soon.

As said above it sounds like it is orthostatic hypotension ..the change in position too quickly is making your blood pressure drop as you get up. Take Thumpers advice and dangle a bit before you jump right up. Get up a little more slowly.

As for the water you go girl...bec even to this day 2 years out i dont get all my water requirements in....was never able to....

Keep up the great work.

I know exactly what you mean. I have the same problem. Are you still taking any kind of pain meds? Somthing that would help me though the feeling thirsty part is to have a sugar free or no sugar added popcicle. You can put it as far back on your tounge as needed. It really helps. If your like me the thirst is comming from the back of your mouth. See if it helps.

Red face

OMGoodness! yes! i feel like when the water hits the back of my mouth i just can't quench it enough--- and i want to GULP so badly! but i stop myself, i gulped ONCE and have not done it again- LOL!
I also find the colder the water the more crampy i get, so i try to let it hit room temp- but then it don't quench me...lol-- vicious cycle!

**i did do the popsicle, and it made me thirsty!! LOL
I have now resorted to ice chips... i'm sure this will pass. Oh- and i checked my BP (in case it was spiking) and it is 123/74 so i guess it is just my mouth.
