Question beans or rice- are these ok to eat?

Are beans (like in chili, or in lentil soup, or the baked type that generally go with hotdogs) are these ok to eat?

*just thinking ahead for when i move into my next stage.

What about rice-- is this a "no-no" type food? I wanted to buy some SF rice pudding.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Beans are fine i make and eat bean salad all the time!

Rice sometimes i can eat it and other times i find it hard to get down, but we have a chinese restaurant so i try eating it at least once a week. I only eat about a table spoon full though.

Beans I Eat. But Not Baked Beans From The Can For Hotdogs Like You Mentioned. Full Of Fats And Sugars Hun. I Eat Beans In Homemade Chili And Soups, etc. I Try To Stay Away From Rice. Just Doesnt Have Much Nutritional Values, I Find It Heavy And Loaded With Carbs. Yes Beans Have Carbs But The Are Healthier Carbs. If You Do Want Rice Try To Go With Brown Or Wild. Much Healthier For You. The Most Rice I Have Ever Tried Was One Teaspoon. Remember One Thing It Will Expand In Your Tummy So Eat A Little Bit

Beans are great for protein, rice is iffy, I have seen posts on how it can make you crave carbs or food in general. It also expands in your pouch and can be difficult to digest.

I eat beans. To let yall know if yall want chili on your hotdogs get the walmart brand. Yes this walmart brand. Compare it to other labels and you will be shocked. I learned that one from a old Weight Watchers meeting I went to. Its pretty good.

LOL@ UK for the dryer comment. Im sure he meant shrunk.

The rice issue most will tell you to stay away from it! It swells in the tummy without no stopping. I get so mad at my hubby for fixing whatever with rice. I didnt realize how much rice I consumed until after this surgery. He can be cooking dinner and make what ever hes making and forget I cant do rice and dont pull out a bit of meat for me ! Yes my hubby does most of the cooking. He always has.

But the rice issue honey lay off it until you get acutal clearence from your Dr for it.

My brothers mom n law had this surgery. She took 2-3 teaspoonsful and was off to the ER thinking she was having a heart attack.

beans yes..great complex protein/carb food there and low fat if you are watching fat intake.

rice...omg no no no no...I know that some do ok with this...but for ME 1 itty bitty teaspoon stops me up for DAYS!!! it's horrible.

Plus remember this is even at 5 YEARS out now!
