Default ??????carbs.??????

I hope I am posting right? lol, I actually have a bunch of questions. I read this wonderful site everydayI just dont talk on it much. I feel like you are all my friends and I really love reading about u all..... anyway,my question now is,..... HOW many carbs. per day????? I know that carbs. counted will alleviate calorie counting, I just dont get the whole thing? I eat alot of crackers (fat-free ceezits, saltines), everyday. By alot I mean handful or so,but that seems to be too much according to carbs. I think??? I am at a stall rite now and was curious as to it being CARBS.????

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thumper, I think Doc has said that in order for our brains to get the adequate amount of fuel it needs to function correctly and all that, we need about 130 carbs per day. Now, there is no way that I get even close to that. If I eat too many carbs, it stalls me. Everyone is different though.

The recommended daily intake according to the FDA is at least 130g per day for carbs.
Now, this is for people with a normal stomach.
For weight loss pouchies, this kinda goes out the window, because 1) the pouch is too small to accomodate, especially early out from surgery, and 2) because *unhealthy* carbs trigger unhealthy eating in many post ops.

Don't worry about the carbs, but don't eat carb rich foods, either, especially processed stuff. You need to get your protein and water in, then veggies, and if you still have space left, some carbs, and that should give you the nutrients you need (other than the vit/mineral supplements) for now.

Once you are at goal and in maintenance and can eat a tad more, you may need to check and consider the carbs, but not now.

I avoid them like the plague...no bread, potatos, pasta or rice....maybe a bite or 2 here or there, but I'm really focusing on protein and veggies!!!
