Exclamation Give me strength or let my car be out of gas... i need a coke!

Help-- i think i am going to go to the store and buy a COKE!!

OMGoodness i can't believe how badly i want one!
I have not had any urges for anything-- accept some head hunger the first weeks out of surgery, and that was becuase i needed to chew something.

But this is almost overwhelming. I was such a coke junkie before WLS and it seems the urge is returning-- HELP!!

How bad will it be if i get one and just take a few sips? I seriously want it and can't stop thinking about the sound of the can when it cracks open!!

I am so losing it over soda!! lol
how stupid...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I agree with Boots. Dont do it. Once you do it then you will continue. I use to drink diet soda all day long. But havent touched it since April 11th and I am fine. I usually drink water or my new little treat for myself is a fruit drink called Fuze slenderize.

Okay, what do you really want?
The anticipation that comes with the pop of the can?
Or the bubble hitting your mouth?
Or your pouch getting gassy and bloated up from the fizz?
Think it thru, and if you still need it, pop it, leave it for an hour or more to let it go flat, then take one, two, three small sips at most.
(((((HUGS))))

I think you shouldnt do it.
YOU know what our surgeons beliefs
on soda is...i need not say more!

but more so your early out and that bubbly bloat
will hurt! GAS can be extremely painful.

I THINK YOU NEED TO JUST GO FOR A POWER WALK!!!
GOOD LUCK

Then the devil's advocate comes along....what's wrong with a sip? I say, if you are craving something SO MADLY, to deny yourself COULD make you turn elsewhere and over-indulge in other places you shouldn't. I don't think it's about COMPLETE denial, I think it's about learning moderation to ALL things, good & bad!

Wow...I hope you make the right decision !!! I get my surgery 3 weeks today...count down is on huh ! Anyway Ive been waiting for my surgery for such a long time...I lost track...its way over a year anyway! I was addicted to Coke a Cola for a life time...anyway it seemed like that way ! I was drinking up to 3 - 5 litres a day of Coke !In quarts its the same thing 3 -5 quarts of Coke a day ! Thats a hell of alot of sugar if ya think a bout it ! I went cold turkey and I can honestly say I havnt had any Coke ..Sprite ...Ginger Ale...nothing like that fizzy stuff for well over a year and a half ! If a pug like me can do it ...im sure you could do it too !! But as they say...the choice is yours ! I think your doing AWESOME so far ... Please remember why you had the surgery to begin with !

Well....... I bet it wont taste the same. Yep I tried my Dr. Pepper. Just a tad and I was like why did I love it so much? And yes you can really taste the sugar in it now. Remember im the one that dreamed of swimming in Dr. Pepper after surgery.
