Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | early out i read a thread or two about people who had lost a substantial amount of weight and then noticed aches and pains. i never really retained the reason why. anyone know?? my hips, knees, and ankles all hurt. its not unbearable, but it is a bit unconfortable. i think it has to do with how i sleep. i have been a side sleeper ever since my daughter was born. (before being pregnant with her i was a stomach sleeper) anyway i think sleeping on my side is the culprit because my knees and ankles rest on eachother??? but of course i have no clue. anyone else experience "new" aches and pains? |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have experienced the opposite, my aches and pains are going away. I had the worst pain in my right foot before surgery and it kept getting worse and worse, sometimes I couldn't get a shoe on it! And I had to have massage therapy every month just to be able to stand for any amount of time, my back and neck gave me such problems. I have heard from others who are side sleepers that the full body pillows are great for keeping your joints from hurting. Might be worth a try!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I do feel the aches and pains that u have Kenya, I do think it is from sleeping in a whole new position. I was also a stomach sleeper and have still not attempted to sleep on it. Maybe I am being foolish, but I guess I am still afraid I will squish something. Also, I wonder if we are all just using different muscles and things while we are "shrinking" our positions are different, due to smaller parts. Like driving,we can get closer to the steering wheel, and, maybe like doing dishes,we are standing a bit differently? Just a thought........... Tylenol helps, lol Kathy

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I can totally relate to the sleeping issues. For a long time i was sleeping on the couch. I could not get comfy at all in my old bed. I dont know if it is because my padding was all gone or what but the couch was so much more comfy for me. Just recently i started sleeping back in my bed every night. Im still have issues getting comfy but i use alot of extra pillows.... |
