Default Thanks

I am almost four weeks out, "Black Friday" will be 4 weeks.
Last week I had a bad day and was just doubting and regretting the choice for the bypass. I was worrying that I was eating too much and too fast and drinking too fast. I am not afraid of damaging myself, but the thought does come to mind.
The next day, and since, I have been ok with the choice. I still worry that I am eating too much and too fast.
It also sucks that technically I will still be on puréed food on thanksgiving and my dietitian said no potatoes and my wife makes the best mashed. Oh well.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Mikey, the blender is your best friend!! No texture, all of the taste! There's a whole lot more to purees than cottage cheese and refried beans!!

I was on the liquid diet on Christmas day, and 4 days post-op on New Year's. You gotta do it sometime, and if you'd waited until it was convenient, you'd never have it!

Good luck!

Still a great post 6 years later! It made me giggle and I'm only 75 days out! I'm not going to start counting weeks yet because I have a long way to go and want to keep it "fresh". I've hit 2 weight plateaus but it's only irritating because I know it will work. I'd have a stricture corrected which didn't work IMHO. Yesterday I got my family doc to take me seriously so at last I will be getting someone to scope me again to find out why it hurts so much to eat or drink anything. Posts like this really give me a kick in the seat of the pants saying....Don't worry, you are normal.

Thank you.
