Question Dumping?

Okay not sure if that is what happen but maybe someone can tell me. On Christmas Eve I was making Banana Cream pies for our Christmas dinner and without thinking before putting the spoon into the sink I decided lick the spoon. OMG!!! Why did I do that. I felt so dizzy, my heart was racing and I felt like I really was going to pass out. I finally had to lay down and had my son bring me some water. After about an hour I felt better but not completely. I kept drinking water to see if I could flush my system and after awhile it finally went away. Question is that dumping? Just didn't know. I just know sweets is at the top of my list of the big NO-NO'S. Don't ever want to feel like that again.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

That minimal an amount shouldn't do that. But.... the sugar, your blood sugar is so low from all the barely eating, it absorbs so quick and just sent you in a tail spin. Doesn't sound like you dumped though. Oh god, you sweat, get bad cramps and hit the potty, you'll know when you dumped.

I wonder if it wasnt a sort of panic attack? I agree with Dolphin on there is no way it would hit you that fast. Honey its ok.... that lick wouldnt have torn everything you did up. Its scary I know..... very but we are human.

I finally dumped and it sounds like some of the symptoms, except I had cold sweats and couldn't even lift my arms, heart pounding, my stomach was in terrible pain, until I was able to get to the toilet and relieve myself. I have had "milder" dumps though, and they are a lot like what you experienced but I vomited for what seemed like forever and then fell asleep.

That is DEF dumping...the sweats, the nauseau, the pass out feeling...

= dumping...

the doc had posted a really great explanation about the 'causation' of dumping by sugar

just think...it's like the pavlov's response...do think you EVER want to eat anything with sugar in it again after THAT?

Works for awhile at least lol.

Sounds like dumping to me.
There are a number of common symptoms, but how and when and in which combination differs with everyone, but the pattern will always be the same for that person.

Yes Ms.Vicki. This happened right after the sugar got into my system and it wasn't a pretty sight either. I think I scared my youngest son to death. For the next couple of days he kept making sure I was eating anything sweet....lol

Thank you all for answering. I just wasn't sure. I just know I didn't want to have that happen again. I was even able to slice cakes and pies during the holidays without the thought of even wanting a piece...lol
