Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Other than liquids - including soups, oatmeal, cereal etc., I weigh everything else with the exception of lite mayo, low fat peanut butter etc., then I use a tablespoon. Can't say that I bother weighing lettuce though - I only have a couple of leaves anyway. According to Fitday, 1 medium lettuce leaf has 0.137 calories.....LOL

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was wandering the same thing. I mostly use a measuring cup rather than weighing anything. I try to stick to a half to 3/4 cup. I know there are times that I can eat about a cup. I am 9 months out, is that unusual? I also was curious if there us a reccomended caloric intake to go by? I was basing my daily intake on 800-900 calories a day. Does anyone know if that is about where I should be? I have 6 more lbs to lose. Should I be eating more, less?

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I Go According To The Food I Eat For Example Most Meats I Weigh But If I Look At The Back Of A Food Label I Usually Do What Each Serving Is So I Can Calculate The Calories, Proteins, Etc. For Example If Per Serving Is In Ounces I Weigh If Per Serving Is In Tablespoons Or Cups Then I Do That. But This Is A Good Question |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | butterfly i think you are where doc said we're fine. i eat about that much; though lately with snacking im proabbly at a little more. i was thinking 3 leaves from a romaine heart without the hard part in the middle (whats that called the stalk??) i could eat 3 leaves without that hard part plus about 3 ozs of chicken but in terms of cups or ounces i have no idea how tomeasure that. is that more than a cup of food? it is CLEARLY less than 8 ozs lol. again, im lost.....LOST I TELL YOU!!! lol. |

| Super Moderator | Squash the lettuce and see how much volume it has, actually. Not much. the leaves are all fluffy, so they look large, but if you tore them up in small pieces and squashed them into a cup, you'd be surprised how little it is in volume actually.
