Default How do I know if I'm at a stall?

Hi,

I'm about 1 1/2 months out and have lost 32 lbs. I've been at the same weight for about week and a half. I started exercising about the same time. I feel like I'm not doing something right b/c the weight loss has stopped. I think I'm too anxious for the end result. I'm a little scared that it won't work and I'll still be overweight. Any advice?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You are at the right place for advice. I haven't hit a stall yet, but there are many on here who have and I am sure they can reassure you that is it won't last long.

You are going to hit stalls. But you know muscle weighs more than fat, so depending on whatou are doing, you weight may not be changing, but your # will be! Keep track of your eating and drinking, making sure you're doing what is right. It will pass soon!!!!!!! Welcome to the looser's side!

Also Your Body Still Needs To Catch Up And Heal So Thats An Other Reason We Hit Stalls. But Dont Get Sad Hun Because When You Hit A Stall You Do Lose Inches!!! Keep Checking Your Clothes And You Will Happy. Its Normal To Hit Stalls During This Journey. And Remeber You Didnt Gain This Wt Over Nite So You Will Not Lose It Over Nite Just Keep On The Program And The Rest Will Work Out The Way Its Suppose To

You are doing great. Don't let your mind play games with you. You are going to hit stalls and everyone's length of their stall is different. You will eventually start losing again. Just keep doing what you're doing. Your body is trying to catch up with everything that's going on. Congratulations on your weight loss so far.

it is normal for your body to hit stalls, they really suck, i am very impatient, but your body is adjusting and it will pick up again soon, your body is losing inches in these times so dont worry your doing great!

Even if the scale isn't moving, aren't your clothes getting loser?
It will take 3-4 months until you heal completely and your body regains its functions.
Your weight loss will not happen in one fell swoop, in one smooth downhill, but in humps and bumps.
Hang in there, if you are following your surgeon's program dilligently, you'll do fine.

That's about where I was when I hit my first stall, just about 4 weeks ~ ugh! But, you're body has to make adjustments so you might as well go with it. I highly recommend you do your measurements now if you havent already. It really is surprising how much you lose and where you lose the most. I measure about 1x mo and it never ceases to amaze me ~ try it, you'll like it
