Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You're right Edie, nothing is 100%. I work with at least 3 people who have either had or their wife had their tubes tied and they have another child years younger than their last and had to have them done again. 2 couples have kids in college and then one has one in elementary school (3rd grade) and the other couple has a 4 year old. And yet another couple the man had a vasectomy that failed eventually too.
I am really sorry to say that nothing is 100% except abstinence.

True, nothing is 100% unless you can totally avoid whatever causes whatever. This goes with everything.
That said, you should be pretty safe, but the tubes can reconnect, and if you really want to be safe, then you should augument one method with another, to rais the probablility of safety. For instance, some form of birth control on both side will bring the probability of such chances down further.

Smile queestion regarding periods

I had an endometrial balloon ablation about 4 years ago and after I had surgery my periods returned too. it's weird to go without then get them again. My tubes are tied and my Dr. said that I'd be ok. While nothing is failsafe like that, if you haven't gotten pregnant before, I would think the likelihood of it happening is slim to none.

Edie, I think, and hopefully doc will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're fertile as long as you're in the weight loss stage. I believe that she mentioned before that the estrogen that causes the fertility is released when our excess fat is being burned. So if you're losing, you're more fertile. I think. Doc?

Yup, so long as you are losing, and your fat is melting, consider yourself in the very fertile stage. Once your weight levels off and stabilizes, things should settle down.
