Ok so here is my stupid question:

I have noticed for the last week or so that I feel like I have a burp that won't come up when I wake. I can get little tiny burps to come up but they don't completely relieve the burp urge.
I am wondering if this is normal at 4 weeks out.

I use a CPAP with a full face mask and take Ambien so I can sleep with it on. Could I be swallowing air from the CPAP while asleep?

Eatting in the morning is not a problem so I am thinking the pouch is not full of air...but who knows?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

It does sound like you're gulping air from the CPAP. Maybe it's time to get the pressure adjusted?

This might be a dumb question but what is CPAP.
Before surgery I could not hardly burp or pass gas and that is so painful and miserible. I went to the doctor becasue I always felt so much pressure in the stomach and chest area and the doctor gave me some prescription medicine and only lasted a few months and then I was back to square one. Then she told me to get axcid and try that and that worked for me. But every once in a while I still had problems even with the medicine. Now after my gastric bypass, I have no problems burping and passing gas. Plenty of gas I have that is for sure. But passing gas and burping feels so good compared to the problems I had before surgery. So I have to say the surgery was another blessing for me for the burping and gas part and with the biggest is losing the unwanted pounds and getting my health back. Or I should say getting my life back!!!!!!

CPAP= continuous positive airway pressure.
In this thread, gone2Bthin is referring to the CPAP machine, used by people who have sleep apnea, to keep the airway open when sleeping.

kitty, I take it your problem pre op was caused by acid reflux.

I do not have a CPAP, but I do feel the "burp" in there some times too. Sometimes I have to walk around and twist from side to side to get the bubble out. lying on my right side ahs made a burp come sometimes too!!!!!! Kathy
