Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  Ladies Question Has anyone had more frequent periods than normal, like every two or three weeks? I wasn't irregular prior to surgery. They're not as bad as they use to be cramp wise, just happening more often? Any thoughts?

What a pain. but doc said something about how estrogen is stored in our fat and etc.....And we shed fat and that could make for changes.????

| Super Moderator  | Your hormones will definitely get WACKY during your rapid weight loss phase. Anything can happen--irregular becoming regular, regular becoming irregular, heavy, light, start when you thought you'd stopped, or stop even. You also will be extremely fertile during this time, so you need physical methods of birth control, as hormonal control will be ineffective. If your period is both frequent and heavy, you may get anemic, so be sure to keep that in check and keep your gyn in the loop. There's been a member here who neede abrasion to resolve the issue.

But now.....actually in the hospital I got my period and have had it since - every month that is I always think boy does this suck but then i correct myself because I want to have a baby of my own someday
