Default Hormonal Question

I'm not sure if anyone else experiences this, but I thought I would ask.

I suffer from major PMDD. I was taking Yaz birth control pills, but was told to stop them before my surgery, I was taking them for help with the PMDD. Now here is my question:

If anyone else suffered from hormonal issues, did they get better after loosing a large amount of weight? I have heard that fat holds hormones and I'm wondering if part of my problem is that my body is constantly overload with hormones..since the fat is sucking them in and not getting rid of them!

Ok, I know this is a long shot...just hoping that when I have less fat, maybe my PMDD will get better??

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hopefully Doc can shed light on this! I know that I am more hormonal now, or maybe I am just more aware of it since I am really having to work on personal issues. I hope an answer comes!

Your hormones will get WACKY during the rapid losing stage, actually, as the extra hormones stored in the fatty tissues will be released, and be rampant.
So, temporarily, your issues may get worse, not better so you probably will need closer medical observation. However, once you reach goal weight and maitain, things should improve and your symptoms get lighter.

On another note, during your rapid losing phase, hormonal contraception will be ineffective so you will need to use physical methods for birth control during this periond. Once you're in maintenance, you can go back to hormonal control.
