Question Skim milk

Do we have to limit our skim milk consumption since it has 12 grams of 'sugar' per serving?
I like the AcievOne taste, but the caffiene makes me shake, so I drink it sparingly and every other protein shake I've tried to make or taste makes me gag. I got lots of samples and nothing works. I tried the AdvantEdge chocolate one which wasn't too bad at first, so as I started to not like it I forced it down and I got sick.
I got the no sugar added carnation instant breakfast and I'm gonna try that in skim milk, but this protein shake stuff really isn't working at this point.
Is it ok to have 2 of the skim milk/carnation per day to help with my liquids and protiens (16 oz. of milk - only 26 protein)?
As with most fresh post-ops, I'm really struggling with both. I feel like all I do is drink and force myself to eat.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I do have skim milk on occasion! It's high in protein....it kinda made me gassy at first, but I drink it on occasion....I"m careful to only have a 1 cup serving at a time!

I have switched to the Horizon organic skim. Don't ask me why, but it seems to do better for me.

Have you tried the Unjury protein? if not they do sent free samples.
I mixed the strawberry sorbet they have with sf/ff lemonaide and boy was that refreshing!

I can not do any of the protein drinks either. I have always substituted the No Sugar Added CIB with skim milk right from the beginning. I have one every morning and every evening and I have survived. LOL

Thanks, that's good to know. I tried it this afternoon and I stomached it pretty good in comparison to those other drinks. Still not crazy about it, but at this point I really need a way to get my fluids and protein in easier. I may try some in a while when my tastes change again, I just feel like I'm throwing money away because I'm pretty sure I won't like anything.
I have the unjury unflavored powder and actually I haven't put it in a drink yet because I was making protein drinks already. I may surrender and one day buy a bunch of supplies from the store just to experiment. I just don't think this close to being post-op is the best time for that!

You can also buy non-fat powdered dry milk and stir it into skim...it makes it taste like whole milk without the extra fat!

I try to drink 2-3 glasses of milk a day. I drink 1% because I always seem to too law in the fat category, but you can save a few calories by drinking skim. I also add some skim milk powder to my milk when I have the sugar free CIB. Drinking so much milk takes the pressure off from having to get all 6 meals in.
