Lightbulb Private Messages

This board allows you to send messages to individual members. However, you will need to have at least three posts up on the board to be able to use this system.

If you have received a PM from a member, you will receive an email notice, which will display both the text of the message and the link to your user CP.

When you are online, check the box on the upper right corner where it says, Welcome, your screen name. Below this you can see when you last visited, and the third line “Private Messages” which is the link to your message list. If you have any unread messages, the number will appear next to “Unread”. Just click “Private Message” which will bring up your Inbox with the list of messages you have. Click the title of the message you wish to read. Use the “Jump to Folder” menu to move from Inbox to Sent Items

To send a PM
There are 3 methods.
1) Click “Private Message” with above method, then choose “Send Message” in the index column on the left.
2) Open your User CP and choose “Send Message” in the index column on the left.
3) When reading the posts, click on the poster’s screen name, and a drop down menu will appear. Choose “Send a private message to…

With all methods, a page that looks very much like a posting page will appear. Type in the recipient name and title in the respective boxes, and your message in the main box. With method 3), the recipient’s name will automatically appear. Submit message, and your PM is sent.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Default Now added to the FAQ's

Hi Doc

I have now added this to a new Renewed Reflections section in the FAQ's. So between the two, people should be able to find what they need.

Exclamation Private Message Manners

The manners and restrictions that apply to the posts and threads open on the board also applies to private messages.

This is a SUPPORT board.

While it is fine to have opinions that differ or disagree with what others have, if they are to be put forward, please do so in a civilized manner.
Just as with the board itself, spams or solicitations, offending, insulting, hurtful, harassing, inappropriate, or rude PMs are not acceptable.

If you receive any PMs that you feel infringes on the above rules, you can use the Report feature to notify the moderators and administrators of the board, so we can investigate, and delete when appropriate, and hand out infractions if necessary to the offenders. The infractions can result in your posting privileges being limited for a number of days, or, depending on the situation, result in permanent bans.

The button is at the bottom of the member profile of each post and PM. Click on this, and a report page will appear where you must post your message, then click "Submit report." Please note, as it is noted on the report page, that you are to use this ONLY to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, offensive, inappropriate, or rude) posts.
