is there any way to change my "join date". last year in august (2006) i joined, however circumstances did not make it possible to pursue WLS. i just came back to the group last week and this time it looks like it might really happen.
can my join date be changed to december 2007? thanks ~

i didn't see anything. thought maybe it was an "administrator" thing. i sent an email to the originator of the website, but i guess his mailbox is full because it hasn't been going through and i have been receiving emails back indicating that they are trying to deliver. so, i thought i would try posting a question under "tech"

Don't know how to help you with that. But it really doesn't matter it just means you found the site before you started the process. Lots of people join before they start their journey.

i dont think you can change that. just update your other info with your start date or surgery date. either way, you found us. dont disappear again

Your join date is when you first registered, so the date is default--automatic. Besides, your first two posts were put up right after you registered. There are lots of people who fluctuate between surgery or not, and take years to decide, so, join date doesn't really matter in that sense, whether you continue to pursue the surgery then, or take your time to think things through. It's just a number to indicate when you first started checking things out.
If you want to list the date you seriously started to work on your surgery, why not put the date in your profile that you can edit. Go to your UserCP->Edit Profile and put Dec 2007 in the Weight loss start date, which will show up in your profile.

Incidentally, if you need to contact the mods/admins of the site, you can use the "Contact Us" button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the page.
