For those of you that don't know, I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have been researching and trying to get bariatric surgery for almost 2 yrs now. I starting in Jan of 2009 The first 11 months I was waiting for my insurance to approve. Then in Nov of 2009 the surgeon I want stopped accepting my insurance and he left the center I was seeing him at.  I then recieved a letter from that center letting me know where Dr. Raja was at now and they told me I could stay with them or follow Dr. Raja. I called the other center and to find out what insurance they took. At the time I had medicaid amerigroup. They told me they took medicaid superior. Soooo I switched to superior. But... now it was going to take me another 6 months of monitored diet. I did it and finished up in April. My paper work got turned in to my insurance on May 10th. I got approved on June 22nd and they gave me a surgery date of July 12th  Tomorrow I start my 7 day liquid diet  Lets see how I do  I will post again after my surgery.... See ya soon ya'll |

Hello Lowkey Lady... Yes same Doc...  I had a very good experience with him. He did a great job even tho I had to have open surgery. But I have had no problems whatsoever since my surgery. I am already a year post-op. I will PM you my phone number... call anytime
