| 2 Days After Surgery!!!
Well I had my surgery on Wednesday morning. Everything went very well. My doctor told my husband that she could tell that I stuck to my pre op diet very well because my liver was so tiny they surgery went alot faster than normal because my liver was so small. She only had to make very small incisions so I am very happy about that. I am feeling pretty good. I got to come home yesterday afternoon and I am very happy to be home. I am just trying to walk as much as I can and sip sip sip on my water and protien. I am very much looking forward to my husband helping me with a shower today. I feel gross and I am ready for my shower. The pain is not near as bad as what I expected so I am happy about that. If anyone has any suggestions for a speadier recovery please let me know.

| I'm happy that your surgery went so well and that you are doing so good! What type of pre-op diet did you do? I'm on day 7 of a clear liquid diet. I'm having surgery in 4 days so please save me a place on the losers bench! Hugs |

Sounds like you are doing well. Enjoy the shower.
For now, it is "Sip,sip,sip, walk,walk,walk, rest,rest,rest."

@ Judi. My pre op diet was two protien shakes a day and then one meal very high protien and some veggies. I had a very strict list to follow on what I could eat. I wish you lots of luck on your surgery and I hope you do very well. Which surgery are you having?

Originally I was going to go with the sleeve but because of uncontrollable reflux I decided to go with the RNY. I know some people who've done very well with the sleeve. I wish I could have one meal a day during this 10 day liquid diet! Oh well I'm almost through day 7 and it really isn't that bad. Did hubby get to help you with that shower? Sounds like fun! lol. I'm glad you are doing so well... get plenty of rest and keep doing what you're doing. Hugs |

Seems like you are doing good so far. Just keep up the walking and sipping and breathing...enjoy your rest and take it slow...You are not too far behind me, so we will be on this journey together! Good luck!

@ Judi. Unfortunately my husband had to leave for the weekend so my sister and cousin are here staying with me so they had to do the shower. I think he was scared to help with the shower since I still have this pain pump hanging out of me. I will be happy when that thing runs out and we can pull the rest of these wires out of me. I have had a really good day today. They took me out for a little while and that was nice. I am having trouble deciding what all these new feelings are in my belly. I am not sure if some of these feelings are hunger or not. Does anyone have any helpful hints for me on all these new sensations?????
